The Misrata Free Zone was established on the Libyan territories in accordance to Law No. (9) for the year 2000 regarding free zones and transit trade, in order for Libya to attract foreign investments and diversify the country’s income source’s.

Moreover, opening job and training opportunities by creating an investment environment for diversified economic activities and transit trade.

  • Geographical location :

The site of the Free Zone in Misurata mediates the Mediterranean basin between coordinates (15.13) east and (32.22) north, with an area of (3539) hectares, including the seaport, divided into two sites :

Site A: 539 hectares, including the Misurata seaport.
Site B: 3000 hectares, 8 km southeast of Site A.
